I was hired for an Airbnb conversion consultation – this is the result.
The condo is in a small 4 unit community on a lush green yard in a fairly popular and in-demand neighborhood that’s close to the airport, two major downtown location and with many restaurants near by. It fits the profile of a well located vacation/short stay rental.
The condo itself was as original as the building. Built in the 1950’s it was well built, but now dated. For a regular rental it functioned well, but major changes were needed to make it a place that’s attractive to potential guests.

And now the –
I’ll let the photos speak for themselves, for the most part.
The goal was to keep the place simple, clean and easy to maintain while providing a stylish, comfortable and functional place to stay for a few days, weeks or even months.
On the walls: original art by Joanna Zajusz.
The kitchen was small originally and the foot print is about the same, but the cabinets are more functional, allowing for greater usage.
I chose a counter top height table and chairs. It’s more comfortable.
The bedroom was difficult to configure. It’s quite large, stuffing it with useless furniture make no sense, so I opted for a chair, a large hanger and a few pieces of distinct art. It at once clean, spacious and very comfortable, especially with the high end bedding.
In the bathroom the tub is gone in lieu of a shower.
